Rivet Support Services offers in-home support throughout Edmonton to help families access services in an environment that feels familiar, comfortable, and practical. In-home sessions allow support and strategies to be integrated into real-life situations and day-to-day family functioning in a way that feels more natural and accessible for many youth and families. We also offer virtual and in-office sessions should you prefer that to in-home.

Initial Assessment & Goal-Setting Session (90 minutes): $275
A collaborative intake session focused on gaining a broader understanding of the emotional, relational, environmental, and day-to-day factors impacting wellbeing and functioning. Together, we identify current challenges, strengths, priorities, and goals in order to create a personalized plan that feels practical, supportive, and realistic moving forward.

Individual Counseling Session (Hourly): $175
Individual counseling provides a supportive space for youth and young adults navigating stress, emotional overwhelm, anxiety, crisis, life transitions, relationship challenges, and day-to-day struggles that may feel difficult to manage alone. Sessions are collaborative, practical, and focused on helping clients build insight, coping strategies, emotional understanding, and realistic tools that support meaningful change in everyday life.

Family Counseling Session (90 minutes): $275
Family counseling focuses on improving communication, strengthening relationships, reducing conflict, and helping families better understand one another during stressful or challenging seasons of life. Sessions provide a supportive space to work through tension, emotional overwhelm, disconnection, parenting challenges, and family dynamics while building healthier patterns of communication and connection together.

Family support services focus on helping families navigate the day-to-day stressors that impact life at home, including communication struggles, parenting stress, routines, emotional regulation, school concerns, and overall family functioning. Services are practical, flexible, and tailored to each family’s needs, with a focus on creating strategies that feel realistic, sustainable, and manageable in everyday life.

Parent & Caregiver Support (Hourly): $175
Parent and caregiver support sessions provide a space for caregivers to process challenges, strengthen communication, better understand emotional and behavioral responses, and build practical strategies for supporting youth through difficult moments. Sessions are collaborative, non-judgmental, and focused on helping caregivers feel more confident and supported in their role.

Systems Navigation & Advocacy (Hourly): $175
Navigating schools, healthcare systems, FSCD, community supports, and other services can feel overwhelming — especially during stressful times. Rivet Support Services helps families better understand available supports, prepare for meetings, coordinate services, advocate for needs, and feel more confident navigating complex systems and resources.

Crisis Support & Stabilization- Extended Sessions (75-90 mins): $225- $275
Crisis support sessions are available for youth and families experiencing heightened stress, escalating conflict, emotional overwhelm, or situations that feel difficult to safely or effectively manage without additional guidance. These sessions focus on stabilization, emotional regulation, communication, problem-solving, and helping families identify clear and manageable next steps during difficult moments.
Biopsychosocial Assessment (90 minutes + Detailed Report): $380
Biopsychosocial assessments provide a holistic understanding of the emotional, relational, environmental, and day-to-day factors impacting a youth or family’s wellbeing and functioning. Assessments help identify strengths, challenges, supports, and areas where additional guidance or intervention may be beneficial, while helping inform practical next steps and collaborative planning.

Customized presentations and workshops for schools, teams, organizations, caregivers, and community groups focused on youth mental health, emotional wellbeing, substance use, family dynamics, crisis response, communication, and navigating community supports and services. Sessions are tailored to the unique needs of each group and presented in a practical, engaging, and approachable way.
Rivet Support Services believes financial barriers should not prevent families from accessing meaningful support. A limited number of sliding-scale spaces are available for families experiencing financial hardship or limited coverage. If cost is a concern, please feel welcome to reach out to discuss current options confidentially and without judgment.
We are happy to be able to offer direct billing to the following insurance companies, although it is up to you to ensure that your insurance benefits cover the cost of social work services (BSW) as not all companies do.

Fees for your session are processed at the time of the appointment via the credit card we have on file, debit, Interac e-transfer, or via your support-services contract (eg. FSCD). Any missed appointments or appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the booking will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the total amount of the session; this will be charged to your payment method on file. In special circumstances, such as emergencies, we may be able to reduce or waive cancellation fees. We encourage you to reach out as soon as possible; we will consider requests on a case-by-case basis.
Sessions with a Registered Social Worker (Bachelor of Social Work- BSW) may be claimed through extended health plans and employee assistance plans. Should we be unable to direct-bill your insurance provider, we will provide you with a receipt that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. You are responsible for checking with your insurer to confirm that Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) are covered with your insurance plan.
A valid credit card or debit card is required on file to reserve your appointment. This does not automatically charge your card for the session, and you may opt to pay via other methods as listed at the time of service.
