Family and youth crisis counseling provides immediate, support during moments of acute stress, overwhelm, or instability. This helps young people and their families de-escalate crisis situations, understand what is contributing to the distress, and develop a plan to move forward safely using a trauma informed, strengths based approach. The goal is to stabilize the situation, reduce harm, and empower families with tools, clarity, and connection during moments when they need it most.

Family Support System Navigation helps families understand and access services such as Children’s Services, FSCD, mental health programs, addictions supports, and community agencies. We provide clear guidance through complex systems, explaining processes, identifying supports, and advocating alongside families to reduce barriers. Using a relational approach, system navigation empowers families to make informed decisions, collaborate with professionals, and feel supported every step of the way.

A biopsychosocial assessment explores the biological, psychological, and social factors influencing a person’s well-being. Instead of looking at a concern in isolation, this assessment considers the full context of someone’s life — including mental and emotional health, family dynamics, relationships, stressors, strengths, coping skills, and existing supports or barriers. This is used to develop a clear understanding of what is contributing to current challenges and what supports may help.
